Me and MY Baby

It took me some time to bond with Baby Bro Bro but once I did I cannot get enough and demand snuggles and declare all the time "He is MINE!" He is also really loving me back, pending I don't squeeze him to hard.

Here are some photos of us - the first is of me and the first time I asked to hold him. After that, I asked all the time.:

Three Year Wellness Visit

We were a month late for our visit but got it done. It's busy keeping up with four kids and all their health and wellness visits for eyes, teeth, and regular check ups.

I'm doing great. Nothing to really report. All my kidney reflux issues are resolved so no more antibiotics. The molluscum rash I've had for 6-12 months is completely resolved. (It can take that long.) Aside from screaming through most of my appointment (that radiology test to show the reflux was resolved totally traumatized me. I even refused my first dental check a few months back with Uncle Doc.) I'm just a normal growing toddler/early pre-schooler.

Stats:
Weight: 29 lbs (30%)
Height: 36.5 inches (25%)
Blood pressure: 100/58
Pulse: 76

Likes: I have a pretty good diet but like my siblings love pasta. I also enjoy bread and have a definite sweet tooth. I love my critters and sleep with a menagerie of "babies" - Danial cat, Meow Meow Cat, Penguin, Monkey - to name a few. I still take naps - most of the time. Sometimes I just have quiet time. I enjoy Frozen but Mom doesn't so I don't play or watch it much since I prefer her company during the day. I've been loving having her home every day since she's been on maternity leave.

It took me a while to bond with my baby brother but now I am extremely possessive of him and he is "my baby" which causes Big Bro Bro and Sissy grief because I don't like to share him.

I've been playing more alone but I prefer company. When I have friends play with me I call them my "Becca Friends".

I have given myself several nicknames - Becca Fish, Beck Fish, Coral Fish, Seashell Fish. Or just Fish. Mom thinks this is because I loved Hawaii so much and she would say I was a little fish. Or not - one never knows with my fickleness!

I adore my siblings, can make messes faster than anyone can clean up, and am unbelievable polite. Even if I refuse to do something like go to bed I'll reply, "No thank you, I prefer not to go to bed."

I enjoy movie trailers - especially the one I call "I am Groot." I laugh so hard at Baby Groot. Sesame Street and Barbie Movies are my screen time a few times a week. We still don't do too much screen time around here.

Here is the only happy photo of me from my appointment.

Christmas 2016

From  our Christmas season...

1 week prior to Christmas we started our festivities by watching Rudolph and decorating the tree. It was my first viewing I could recall.

Then off to see Santa. It was the first time I was not scared. I asked for a blue present with some surprises inside and a book about "meows".

I put together the countdown tree multiple times.

On December 23rd we decorated graham cracker houses. I put a lot of "M&Ms" (skittles) on mine. It also started to snow on the 23rd and continue through Christmas day. We had 6-8 inches. It was quite the white Christmas. We went to see Grandma and Grandpa on Christmas Eve and the 45 minute drive was 90 minutes in the snow. I fell asleep on the way home. I also really wanted to build a snowman. It was powdery snow so the snowman did not quite turn out round. Mom let us skip a fancy dinner and we had tubside service in the bath with a simple dinner so there was time for making gingerbread cookies and watching A Charlie Brown Christmas.

On Christmas morning everyone was waiting for me to wake up - I was the groggy one who slept in until 8:30. But there were my blue packages waiting for me with some Calico Critters, a musical lamb, and lots of other surprises. It took me all day to make it through my gifts. I preferred to play as I opened.

It was a wonderful Christmas season.

I Do It Me Self

Mom is not as readily available to assist me these days as she was before baby brother was born. Plus, I am getting more independent. This is me trying to apply my Eucerin cream all by me self.

Cooking for Dad

I like to cook. All the time. It was how I made it through the 8+ hours on the airplane to Hawaii - Mom packed a portable kitchen for me. Plus, I also turn dad's closet into a kitchen, too.

From My Birthday Party...

We celebrated my birthday a few days before Halloween. Because of this, everyone was invited to wear a costume. The theme was a Monster Mash. Mom started preparations about 3 months in advance since she knew we'd have a new baby. Baby W was 3 weeks ago. She made the invitations and pinata (I found the correct string that opened the pinata first try!). S helped Mom make the monsters everyone got to adopt at the party.

Fred Meyer did the cakes and I chose the colors for them. Auntie J brought the crowns for them. Ms. B did the games (bowling and pin the eye on the monster). Ms. B also did homemade pizzas with monster faces. (SO delicious!) Mom also made monster bags for everyone to put their treats in.

I loved my party but totally freaked out when Mom lit the candle to my cake and everyone sang to me. I wore Big Sis's pink princess costume Mom made for her years ago. Now I think every time we go to a birthday party I need to wear it!

We also painted tiny pumpkins. I was so glad to be surrounded by my closest friends and family on my special day.

Want to go to the beach?

We just returned from our epic family vacation to Hawaii (Maui). I have never been on an airplane nor even left the state. It was quite an adventure. I thought the giant sandbox and giant wave pool were amazing. I would wake Mom every morning at 6 am saying, "Want to go to the beach?" Then I would head into the bathroom and put on my Minnie Mouse swim suit.

I would often get concerned watching dad and the other snorkelers go far out into the ocean. I would stand at the water's edge and call to them. Then I discovered how much fun my version of body surfing was and I was constantly in the water.

The water was warmer than our neighborhood pool. I was a bit shocked that it tasted of salt. I even enjoyed sand in my peanut butter sandwich. We picnicked at the beach every day. I saw little fish swimming along side us while we swam.

I deveopped a definite liking for Shave Ice. Shopping is a new favorite hobby - I would match outfits together every change I had. The last day I developed a GI virus and crashed during lunch and then hand diarrhea the next 24 hours which made traveling back from Maui quite an ordeal for all of us but we all survived and would do it all again in a heartbeat - great time! I probably had the most zest and excitement over the trip than anyone. I was also a great little plane traveler - only one major melt down that lasted less than 2 minutes before I crashed for a nap (I just wish that scary flight attendant would not have tried to calm me down!)

Here are photos of my adventures....
